The Texas Society of CPAs celebrated CPA Week November 7-18, 2022. The society partnered with the American Institute of CPAs and 37 other state CPA societies to increase awareness of the accounting profession among students of all ages. This year’s inaugural event was a nationwide effort to inspire the next generation of CPAs and showcase the profession’s endless and rewarding career options.
During the past two weeks, 67 TXCPA volunteer members provided more than 50 career presentations and reached more than 1,335 Texas students.
“Growing and diversifying the CPA pipeline is a priority across the profession,” says Jodi Ann Ray, CAE, President and CEO of TXCPA. “TXCPA and our members are committed to raising awareness of CPAs’ unique role in the business world, and we are thrilled to work with AICPA and several other states to inspire the next generation of accountants and promote the various career paths in the profession.”
